The Faculty
The faculty of the Department of Technology consists of both full time professors and part time adjunct instructors.
The full time professors hold advanced degrees in their respective areas and do research and publish in those areas as well as teach courses.
The adjunct faculty are full time professionals in the areas they teach and bring valuable real world experience to their courses.

Dr. William Moore

Dr. Moore attended Gorham State College, University of Maine at Portland/Gorham, and the
University of Tennessee and holds BS, MS, and Ed.D degrees. He teaches courses
in materials properties and testing, material processes, automated manufacturing
processing, computer numerical control, computer integrated manufacturing and
ergonomics / time study. As director of the Manufacturing Applications Center
he works with companies to develop products from design to testing prototypes and is
a frequent consultant to attorneys and insurance companies.
His research and publications focus on the failure analysis of materials.

Dr. Andrew Anderson

Dr. Anderson earned his Ph.D. as an Educational Leadership Development (EPDA) Fellow at Iowa State University. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. His primary teaching responsibilities are in the areas of information and communications technology. His research and publications focus is related to 3D computer-aided design and visualization. Dr. Anderson is currently associate dean of USM's School of Applied Science, Engineering, and Technology.

Dr. Zaner attended Millersville University, the University of Maryland,
and Pennsylvania State University and holds BS, MEd, and EdD degrees. He teaches courses in Internet
website development, technical graphics, materials processing, and
production control. His experience includes teaching in the public
schools in Pennsylvania and Maryland, Pennsylvania State University,
several companies and military bases, and the University of Southern
Maine. His areas of scholarly interest and publication are website
development, problem solving, and curriculum methods.

Dr. Glenn Wilson

Dr. Wilson attended University of North Carolina Greensboro,
Appalachian State University, and Indiana University and holds BA, MA, and EdD degrees.
He teaches courses in computer hardware, computer networking, and network security.
His experience includes research and development work with IBM, Maine Department of Environmental Protection,
the Maine Learning Results, and the University of Southern Maine's Research Computing Group.
His areas of research and development include scientific visualization, data networks infrastructure
development, and high peformance computing systems.

Dr. John Marshall

Dr. Marshall earned his Ph. D. from Texas A&M University. His areas of expertise include: hydraulic,
pneumatic and mechanical energy conversion systems; electricity and electrical power generation;
programmable logic controllers and process automation; plant layout and material handling;
telecommunications and automatic data collection; and industrial distribution.
Dr. Marshall is the Internship Coordinator for the Department of Technology.

Mr. Gregory Bazinet

Mr. Bazinet, earned B.S. and MS degrees from the University of Southern Maine and has
completed advanced graduate study at the University of Connecticut, Storrs. He is responsible
for coordinating three degree programs as well as the development of training and degree
program offerings beyond the campus. Mr. Bazinet oversees academic programs located throughout
Maine and supports business and industry with short courses and specialty training throughout
the southern Maine region.
