Welcome

Take a few minutes to look around and learn a bit more about who I am and what I like to do in my free time.

I grew up traveling the world and the country (Air Force).  Born in Long Island, NY, my journey continued to Columbus, OH; Langley, VA; Charleston, SC; Izmir, Turkey; Minot, ND

I attended The University of Maine and received my B.S. in Organizational Behavior (1989).  After graduation, I went to work at Miami University before heading to The University of South Carolina to work on my Masters in Education.  I returned to Miami University as a First Year Advisor and Orientation Advisor.

I returned to Maine in 1994 to work for the United Way of Greater Portland as a Campaign Associate.  This was an excellent opportunity to learn about the Portland community and all the many resources available to people in need.  This crusade sent me to do agency work, where I became the Client Services Coordinator for The AIDS Project of Maine

From my work at TAP, my personal interests brought me to ride in the Boston-New York AIDS Ride 3,4,6 and crew for the Texas AIDS Ride 1.  Recently, I completed a 5 day 475 mile bike trek for the Canada to Portland, ME AIDS Vaccine Ride.

I started working at the University of Southern Maine in 1998.  When I am not working at USM, you can find me enjoying what Maine has to offer.  Hiking, biking and sailing are my top 3 activities.  I stay connected with the United Way of Greater Portland and coordinate the Portland Community Thanksgiving and sit on the steering committee of Day of Caring.  Recently, I was nominated and selected for the 6 Who Cares, 2004 Mary Rhines Thompson Award.

I try to perform on stage at least once a year.  I enjoy the stage and have performed at Portland Players, Lyric Music Theatre, City Theatre, Good Theatre and Maine State Music Theatre.

Feel free to stop by my office anytime to talk about anything.
