ELE 442 Introduction to Digital VLSI Design

Principles of internal circuit and layout design of digital VLSI circuits. Topics include NMOS and CMOS logic circuits, electrical and physical design of logic gates, chip layout rules, parasitics and performance estimation. CMOS technology is emphasized. Simulation, layout and electronic design automation tools are demonstrated and used. Prerequisites: ELE 172 and ELE 342. Lecture 3 hrs. 2 Design Cr.
