ELE 323 Electromechanical Energy Conversion
Basic concepts of magnetic circuits and transformers. Three-phase system and power transmission. Conversion between electrical and mechanical energy through magnetic fields. Study of direct current motors and generators. Study of alternating current machines: induction motors, synchronous machines, and single-phase motors. Modeling and analysis of electric machines and transformers with Mathematica. Prerequisite: ELE 211. Lecture 3 hrs., Lab. 2 hrs.
