ACCOMPLISHMENTS

 

Teaching:   Have taught numerous courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in adult education, social and educational gerontology, action research, death and bereavement, and baseball and American culture.  Regular guest lecturer at various conferences, institutes, and pre- retirement education programs.

 

Planning and Program Development:  Planned and developed over 100 courses, seminars, institutes and certificate programs for business, social service, health personnel and other professional audiences.  Designed a statewide training plan in aging for the State of Connecticut and an education program for a community hospice.  Founder of a statewide professional association.

 

Research and Publication:  Have conducted numerous research projects, using both quantitative and qualitative methods.  Special emphasis has been on applied research.  Have published in professional journals and magazines in a wide variety of subject areas including adult education, continuing higher education, gerontology, health, and baseball.
