Women's Travel Writing, 1830-1930 A Women's Studies Digitization Project Initiative from the University of Minnesota. On-line texts available as well as related links. Read texts written by Nellie Bly who traveled around the world in 72 days (beating out Phileas Fogg by 8), Lady Florence Dixie who travelled to Patagonia in the 1880s and many other women travellers.
Women and Social Movements in the U.S., 1830-1940 Codirected by Kathryn Kish Sklar and Thomas Dublin. The website itself consists of 24 editorial projects with about 500 primary documents that focus on interpretive questions relating to women and social reform in United States history between 1820 and 1940. It also contains a Teacher's Corner with some sixty lesson plans and assignments to facilitate use of the primary documents on the website in high school and college courses in United States History.
