Lincoln Park and Post Office Park are both indicative of the streets that they are on. Lincoln Park is not used regularly; in fact the arterial took roughly one-third of it for construction. It is bordered on one side by the courthouse, which faces it. On another side is the fire department that does not face it. Across from Congress Street is a large parking lot. And on the fourth side is the Arterial. There are no good reasons for people to walk here. When the arterial divided the city it also impacted Lincoln Park, it is no longer convenient to walk to, the residences are gone and no businesses other than the courthouse are nearby. Post Office Park on the other hand is a success. It is on the center of Exchange Street on the corner of Exchange and Middle Streets. Because it is close to residences, offices, and shops; people throughout the day and night frequent it. It is convenient and there is a reason to be there.

| Lincoln Park at the top is not used very often. The neighborhood it had once belonged to was demolished for the arterial and urban renewal projects. On the other hand at the bottom is Post Office Park on Exchange Street. This park is widely used day and night and is accessible by residents, businesses, and tourists. Photos by Ryan Foster. |
