Unity Village
The
Bayside Neighborhood Association participated in the development of the design
for these new housing units. It was important to residents that the housing fit
into the scale if the neighborhood and not represent a slapped together solution
to throw at the housing crunch. At
the ground breaking for Unity Village developer Richard Berman stated that he
might not have continued with the project were it not for the dedication and
perseverance of BNA members.
According to the Housing and Neighborhood Services department the Unity Village is a family rental housing and project.
It
will consist of thirty-three units that include 6 one-bedrooms, ten
two-bedrooms, and seventeen three-bedrooms.
Prices will range from market value to subsidized rents to encourage a
mix in economic levels.
