Active Learning Exercises: Population Pyramids

Go to the US Census Bureau's IDB website and choose a country from the Global North and the Global South. Print out each country's population pyramid. Describe the demographics of each country's populations. In what ways are they different? What population transition are they experiencing? What challenges does each country face now? How about by the year 2025? What challenges will it face in the year 2050?
