Therese Martin - Administrative Assistant

Therese has been at USM for 20 years working for several departments, including Alumni, Professional Education, and Media Services. She joined DES in 1998 because of her sincere interest in environmental issues and education. In 2007 Therese received USM's Distinguished Classified Staff Award (photo above).  As Therese notes, "There is just so much to learn and get involved in to make a difference in this ever changing world! We have a great group of students, faculty and staff here... we work really well together. I see us as a big family making a difference."

Therese is a Maine native, born in Portland. She received her A.A.S. in nutrition from Southern Maine Technical College. When Therese is not managing the various administrative affairs of DES, she enjoys music, theatre, yoga, cooking, walking (especially the beach), old movies, and spending time with family and friends.
