Professional positions are to be filled through a competitive search. The geographical scope of the search, as determined by the Affirmative Action Plan, is based on the viability of a competitive pool of applicants. Competitive searches must be affirmative and strategic to result in applicant pools consistent with the Affirmative Action Plan. The Executive Director of the Office of Campus Diversity and Equitymay not approve hires which do not comply with the Affirmative Action Plan.
This policy may be waived with the approval of the Executive Director of the Office of Campus Diversity and Equity, consistent with the Opportunity Hire Program.
