The Stone House

By car from the South (35 minutes from Portland)

Follow Interstate 295 (formerly Interstate 95) to Exit 20 (formerly Exit 19) in Freeport. Bear to the right on the ramp, then at the light you want to bear to the left. This heads straight into downtown Freeport. Turn right onto Bow Street (opposite L.L. Bean). After approximately 2.5 miles, turn right onto Wolf Neck Road. (There will be a large green sign that says Wolf Neck Woods State Park). Stay on Wolf Neck Road for 2.25 miles, passing the entrance to the State Park (on your left). The road will turn to dirt for a short distance through the Park, and becomes very twisty and bumpy! Use caution and watch out for hikers, cyclists and wildlife! The road will return to pavement.  Continue to the very end of the public road, which will end in our parking lot.

By car from the North (45 minutes from Augusta):

Follow Interstate 295 (formerly Interstate 95) to Exit 22 (formerly Exit 20) in Freeport. Turn right off the ramp towards downtown Freeport. Turn right on to Main Street. Turn left onto Bow Street (opposite L. L. Bean). After approximately 2.5 miles, turn right onto Wolf Neck Road. (There will be a large green sign that says Wolf Neck Woods State Park). Stay on Wolf Neck Road for 2.25 miles, passing the entrance to the State Park (on your left). The road will turn to dirt for a short distance through the Park, and becomes very twisty and bumpy! Use caution and watch out for hikers, cyclists and wildlife! The road will return to pavement.  Continue to the very end of the public road, which will end in our parking lot.
