HOMEWORK #4: HOME PAGE CONSTRUCTION
INSTRUCTIONS: Use A. or B. below to begin to construct a home page--you
might want to give both a brief try before you choose one or the other.
Give C. a try if you wish to insert a mailto.
A.

Go to THE COMMUNICATOR and open PAGE COMPOSER

Click on NEW and choose FROM PAGE WIZARD

Read the instructions and begin to build your home page

Remember to click on BUILD when you are done; click on FILE and EDIT PAGE
to save your work

Before you leave COMPOSER save the home page you have created by
clicking on FILE and SAVE AS
-
Name your home page whatever-you-want dot htm, e.g., MYPAGE.HTM (keep the
name to 8 or less characters)
Now, open your saved home page in
COMPOSER, as follows:

Go to File and then OPEN PAGE--point to the drive and the file name and
click OK

Now you can make additions and changes to the page using the tool bar in
COMPOSER--when you are done, save your work
B. CREATING A HOME PAGE WITH COMPOSER
Summarize what you did, what the experience was like, what you could
recommend to others learning to use WIZARD and the editor in THE COMPOSER;
and, finally, save your work to a floppy and be prepared to present your
work to the class.
