Psychology of Post-Communism

Psihologija postkomunizma

Miklos Biro, 1994, 150 pp.

In a series of articles that were published in the Yugoslav press, the author, a professor of social psychology in Novi Sad, analyses the psychological consequences of the communist social system and the structure and dynamics of politics in Serbia after the introduction of a multi-party system, and discusses conditions for the development of a true democratic spirit and tolerance in politics. The author believes that the creation of a democratic society in post-communist countries requires much more than the political pluralism: namely, a democratic culture.
