Borka Pavicevic, 1994, 138 pp.
A collection of articles from the author's "Fashion" column in the Belgrade weekly Vreme. Ms Pavicevic, a well-known dramatist, is the founder and leader of a number of informal, alternative theater projects. In her articles she discusses the development of the Yugoslav crisis and its tragic outcome in a very personal manner. Her writing is intimate and committed, seemingly apolitical but obviously critical of domestic politics: hatred was systematically produced, the war was premeditated, the country was needlessly destroyed... Borka Pavicevic is not ashamed to be called a "Yugo-nostalgic". The book is permeated with sorrow and nostalgia, but no pathos.
