We would like to draw attention to the continuing gesture of solidarity demonstrated
to our project by the members of the Advisory Committee from the countries of
the former Yugoslavia as well as by members of the International Advisory Committee
from other countries. We take this opportunity to express our warmest thanks
to all friends and supporters of our journal, especially to contributors who
have submitted their articles for publication in Belgrade Circle. Professors
Noam Chomsky, Charles Taylor, Anthony Giddens, Terry
Eagleton, Cristopher Norris and Peter Dews have also been
instrumental in securing the contributions of other colleagues.
We are proud to announce that Peggy Kamuf and William Hunt have in the meantime become members of our International Advisory Committee.
The editors wish to thank the following institutions which made the publication of Belgrade Circle possible:
The Norwegian Helsinki Committee, Oslo
(Bjørn Engelsand, Secretary General)
Swedish Helsinki Committee, Stockholm
(Gerald Nagler, Chairman)
St. Lawrence University, Department of History, Canton, New York
(William Hunt, Director, Solidarity Project)
