   AMS 677 -- Regression Models in the Health Sciences

This course will familiarize students with the use of regression models for the analysis of epidemiologic and other biomedical data. Topics will include multiple linear regression, logistic regression, log-linear models, proportional hazards models, Poisson regression, generalized linear models, goodness of fit, and analysis of residuals and other diagnostics. Students will work on individual projects and will learn to use the SAS software for conducting the analyses.

Prerequisites: AMS 545 or equivalent
