Courses with 500-level designations are open to qualifed undergraduate students, to graduate
students, and to special students who have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or
university but who may not be currently enrolled in a graduate program. In some courses, a
substantial proportion of students are in fact special students.
Courses with 600-level designations are typically open only to graduate students and to special
students who have completed a baccalaureate program at an accredited college or university.
