May's Tip of the Month
Lie vs. Lay
Lie is an intransitive, irregular verb that means to recline.
Lay is a transitive, regular verb that means to place.
If I don't lie down, I'm going to lay an egg.
The song "Lay Lady, Lay" should be "Lie Lady, Lie."
