USM and beyond...
Mission
Established in 1991 the Women’s Resource
Center promotes gender equity, provides leadership
opportunities, honors diversity, and offers a space for students
and staff to build community and engage in honest and open
discussions. In collaboration with university and community
organizations the center offers services and programs that
enrich the personal, professional and academic experiences of
community members at USM and beyond.
Guiding Principles:
- Work as a collaborative circle of women and men.
- Empower through engagement
- Promote respectful and honest dialogue
- Honor all of members of the world community
- Encourage activism,
leadership and education
The Women’s
Resource Center is a tangible expression of USM’s commitment to
an inclusive and equitable campus community.
The center
located in the Woodbury Campus Center provides a comfortable
place to hang out, study, work on projects and connect with
students, faculty, and staff.
