Women's Ride for Heart Health

Women -- mark your calendars! Sorry guys, this event isn't for you. The Bicycle Coalition of Maine (BCM) is sponsoring the 7th annual Women's Ride for Heart Health, on Sunday, June 1st at 9am in Freeport. LL Bean has agreed to host the event at their Casco Conference Center. Last year drew over 325 women and includes a 5, 10 and 25-mile ride with returning free medical screenings available, as well as free yoga and massage therapy. Come and plan to spend a morning of pampering, bicycling and fun!

Exhibitors from the local Healthy Maine Partnerships and Parkview Adventist Medical Center will be on hand to share heart health related information.

Major Diamond sponsors include Freeport Comfort Suites, Maine Women's Fund, and Vermont Bicycle Tours.

Remember again the primary goal is to motivate women and encourage family and friends to step up their physical activity and see the beauty of bicycling and good nutrition as a means to combat heart disease-the number one killer of women in Maine! So bring your daughter, aunt, cousin, or friend and join us June 1st for a pampering morning and fun bicycle event.
