Overview
The USM Gorham Cultural Affairs Committee (UGCAC) is responsible for advocating and allocating a budget that supports cultural events on the USM Gorham campus. The committee proposes, develops, and implements processes aimed at increasing diverse cultural opportunities at the university, facilitates culturally diverse programming by faculty and staff, and publicizes criteria and screens applications for the awarding of funding for cultural activities.
The UGCAC is funded in whole by the USM College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHS). For more information about the the College, visit www.usm.maine.edu/cahs.
Da Capo Chamber Players in Residence
The Naumberg Award-winning Da Capo Chamber Players, one of New York City’s most longstanding and preeminent new music ensembles, will be in residence at USM School of Music for three days to present a public concert, readings and recordings of student works, a master class, and a public lecture.
Tuesday, March 19 through Thursday, March 21.
The residency is sponsored by the USM Gorham Cultural Affairs Committee, and made possible in part with public funds from the NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS, which believes that a great nation deserves great art.
