Mission Statement

University Counseling Services supports the mission of the University of Southern Maine of teaching, research and public services by providing brief, confidential clinical treatment, outreach services, and community referrals to students who experience academic, personal, vocational and emotional concerns. University Counseling Services also works to enhance the education, health and well being of all those in the university community by providing training opportunities, consultation to faculty and staff, student advocacy, outreach programming, workshops, retention activities, and research and evaluation.
