The Wise Laboratory of Environmental and Genetic Toxicology has launched a new collaboration with Dr. Louis Guillette, Jr. of the Medical University of South Carolina and with the Kennedy Space Center. We will be joining an ongoing project using the American alligator as a sentinel species for environmental and human health. Specifically, we will be studying the impact of launch-related chemicals on the DNA in alligators. Our project will involve faculty, staff and both graduate and undergraduate students.
