Interpreting Your Accuplacer Math Score
When you take the Math Placement Exam on Accuplacer, you will receive an Individual Score Report containing two scores and the required placement. Below you will find the rubric used to determine that required placement.
*NOTE: In the online student records system, MaineStreet, USM Accuplacer scores are coded as PARTH = Arithmetic and PALGE = Elmentary Algebra. Scores can be found in teh Student Services Center under the Admissions tab.

- Elementary Algebra score is 59 or below:
MAT 009
- Elementary Algebra score is 60 to 75:
MAT 101B
- Elementary Algebra score is 76 to 107:
MAT 105, 108, or 120
- Elementary Algebra score is 108 or above:
Any MAT 100-Level Course
