Overview
Telecommunications, located in room 4 Payson Smith Hall on the Portland campus, provides a variety of telephone services to all residence hall students, staff and faculty. You may also obtain the USM Card; the official University of Southern Maine identification card, at the Telecommunications Office.
REPORT telephone troubles, outages or service problems to the HelpDesk at Ext. 4029. The Helpdesk will create a ticket and send it to Telecommunications. After hours, please leave your name and phone number, location (building and room number) and a brief description of the problem.
If requesting department long distance authorization codes, cellular phones service or a cellular loaner phone, please print and complete the relevant form and fax/mail to our department. All forms are listed on our form page.
For NEW telephone services, or telephone technical services, telephone upgrades/accessories, and data installations & activations, please use our on-line work order form located on the USM RT page: (log in with your MaineStreet login and password).
Update Campus Directory Information using our ON-LINE Directory Update Form, which can be submitted electronically once completed.
