Minor in Industrial Management

This minor is designed to provide students with a variety of management courses valuable in technical environments. Students in this minor take courses to understand the many organizational elements and functions composing industrial operations. Students completing this minor will develop a broad-based, cross-sectional/functional understanding as a "generalist" management professional.

Minimum of 18 credit hours taken from the list of courses below by a faculty advisor in the Department. The student must declare the minor. Admission to the minor will require the completion of at least 24 credits with a grade point average of 2.0. Successful completion of the minor will require a grade point average of 2.0 in the courses making up the minor.

ITP 210 - Technical Writing 3 cr.
ITP 280 - Industrial Organization, Management & Supervision 3 cr.
ITP 310 – Facility Planning 3 cr.
ITP 330 - Production Control 3 cr.
ITP 340 - Fundamentals of Quality 3 cr.
ITP 350 – Teambuilding and Facilitation 3 cr.
ITP 381 - Human Resource Development 3 cr.
ITP 410 - Technical Operations & Strategies 3 cr.
*ITP 490 - Cost Analysis & Control 3 cr.
ITS 300 - Ergonomics/Time Study 3 cr.
ITS 320 - Occupational Safety & Health 3 cr.

*NOTE: Has a pre-requisite of ACC 110 - Financial Accounting
