Research and Scholarship

In the Department of Technology, scholarship and research activities are broadly defined as described in Ernest Boyer’s Scholarship Reconsidered:  Priorities of the Professoriate (Princeton: Carnegie Institute for the Advancement of Teaching, 1990). The following list represents recent research and scholarship activities of the faculty of the department.

Most research activities consist of applied research in areas such as of material failure analysis, product evaluation, ergonomic analysis, program evaluation, research computing, scientific visualization, and data networks infrastructure development.
