Leslie is the Field Work Coordinator for the School of Social Work, a professional staff position she has held since 1982. As Field Work Coordinator, she develops and maintains placement sites for the field work component of the undergraduate and graduate social work degree programs, serves as a liaison between community agencies and the School, and works with Field Instructors in support of their work with students. Ms. Richfield is the person to whom students submit their application to Field Work and thereafter shepherds the field placement process. She has a Master's degree in Social Work from Boston University and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, also from Boston University. Before coming to USM, she was employed as a school social worker in both Portland and Cape Elizabeth.
