Steve’s responsibilities as Resource Recovery Supervisor include tracking and reporting trash and recycling on all three USM campuses: Portland, Gorham, and Lewiston-Auburn. Additionally his responsibilities include educating students, staff, and the community about issues related to waste, developing waste reduction strategies, and improving recycling at USM. His goal is to reduce overall waste and the costs associated with waste disposal through the 3 R’s: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Steve can be contacted directly by phone or email with any questions you may have regarding disposal of waste here at USM.
Steve worked at USM for three years in Environmental Services on the Portland campus previous to holding his current position. He has lived in Southern Maine for most of his life and previously worked for a large recycling company providing services to businesses in So. Maine and New Hampshire.
