On any day that you ride in a vanpool or carpool, if for any unforeseen reason you need to leave early (e.g., sick kid) or stay late, you will be provided with a free rental car, delivered to your workplace, or you will be fully reimbursed for the cost of taking a taxi home. This benefit is available up to 2 times per month for a total of 8 times per year. This service is provided courtesy of GO MAINE Commuter Connections, the State's Commuter Services Office.

PLEASE NOTE: You must have your carpool REGISTERED WITH USM or registered directly through GO MAINE to be eligible for this benefit.

If you need an emergency ride home, please follow the directions at GO MAINE'S website. BE SURE TO LET GO MAINE KNOW THAT YOUR CARPOOL IS REGISTERED AT USM. You do not need to register with GO MAINE separately.
