Rissho Roommate Program: Japanese Language and Culture
Rissho Roommate Program Coordinator
Each summer, we select one female and one male student to serve as Rissho Roommate Program Coordinator.
Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Attend all mandatory events and help organize thegroup during events
- Work closely with the Office of International Programs
- Act as a mentor and leader to other American roommates
- Actively participate in interview process for potential Rissho roommates
- Help organize and plan the roommate orientation
- Willingness to drive a 10-passenger van for impromptu activities
Selection Criteria:
Preference will be given to participants who meet the following criteria:
- At least one year experience as a Rissho Roommate
- Available for most of the three week program
- Demonstrate leadership skills and qualities
- Have a valid driver's license with no recent or serious infractions
