Faculty
Vanessa Beyland, is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Dance. She is currently on the faculty of Portland Ballet, as well as being Assistant to the Director and a principal dancer. She was a member of Pennsylvania Dance Theatre and has performed and worked with many independent choreographers throughout the country. She has taught master classes for the Maine Dance Teachers Club, and her Maine credits include Lyric Music Theater, the Capriccio Festival at the Ogunquit Playhouse, Round Top Performing Arts Center, Portland Dances! and PBC's productions of Carmina Burana and The Victorian Nutcracker . Behind the desk, she has worked in NYC with Roundabout Theatre Company and the Jose Limon Dance Foundation and is currently on the faculty at USM, teaching Musical Theatre Dance.
