The Michael Chekhov Institute is designed to appeal to theatre and drama instructors, experienced actors, and advanced students. Classes focus on various aspects of Chekhov's acting techniques and the application of those techniques to performance, directing, auditioning and teaching. Each day will begin with a physical/vocal warm up, then continue into the afternoon with classes on various aspects, including characterization. Evenings will be utilized for seminars, video viewing, rehearsals and group gatherings.
We offer graduate, undergraduate, and CEUs plus teacher certification.
Special Guest Faculty
for 2008--Mark Paladini
"Taking a workshop from William Kilroy and Mala Powers was like a revelation. The process-oriented seminar they taught revealed that Michael Chekhov's tools are both fun and accessible. I immediately integrated one exercise into my Advanced Screen Acting class, and the students responded enthusiastically." -Mark Paladini |
