Tuition and Costs
Refund Schedule and Policy
All summer courses dropped on or before the first day of the course:
-100% refund of tuition and fees
Courses scheduled to meet for less than three weeks:
-0% refund if dropped after the first day of the course
Refund percentages for courses lasting SEVEN weeks:
- Cancellation on or before the first day of course-100%
- Withdrawal prior to the end of the second week-50%
- Withdrawal prior to the end of the fourth week- 25%
- Withdrawal after the end of the fourth week- 0%
Refund percentages for courses lasting FOUR weeks:
- Cancellation on or before the first day of the course-100%
- Withdrawal prior to the end of the first week- 50%
- Withdrawal prior to the end of the second week- 25%
- Withdrawal after the end of the second week- 0%
Some Summer Session courses have variable meeting dates that are not noted in the above schedule, please contact Student Billing directly for withdrawal refund percentages. Refunds for courses that meet for less than 4 weeks or longer than 7 weeks will be determined manually by the Reigistrar's Office or the Portland Student Billing Office.
Short-term summer travel courses have special refund schedules, please contact Summer Session directly.
