Graduate
Students holding a baccalaureate degree may register for graduate courses (courses with a number of 500 or higher) even though they have not been accepted into a degree program - providing there is space in the course and that all course prerequisites have been satisfied. (Please note, some graduate programs have additional requirements - contact the department offering the course for more information.)
Individual graduate programs have different policies governing the registration of non-matriculated (special) students. Anyone interested in taking a graduate class as a non-matriculated student should contact the department offering the class to determine whether or not departmental permission is necessary to register. If departmental permission is not necessary, students may register in person at the Summer Session Office (101 Payson Smith Hall - Portland Campus), or the Advising Services Center (119 Payson Smith Hall - Portland Campus) or at Lewiston-Auburn College.
