Josh has worked with the SUL office for almost a year now and has enjoyed learning the interesting facets of the behind the scenes work of the University. Working in both Gorham and Portland offices, Josh has been asked to do a variety of jobs, including making signs and posters for directories, designing notecards, proofreading websites and documents and lots and lots of shredding.
Outside of work, Josh is a Senior Musical theater major, having major roles in USM’s productions of “You Can’t Take it With You” as Kolenkhov, “Assassins” as Charles Guiteau, and “The Drowsy Chaperone” as Underling as well as playing in many community productions in Biddeford, Norway, and Standish. He was trained as a classical singer studying under Judith James and will be Eisenstein in the upcoming Opera, Die Fledermaus, which will be put on jointly by the theater and music departments.
His love for music extends to playing multiple instruments, primary being the saxophone, and composing, orchestrating and arranging it as well. He hopes to one day to write great music, perhaps in musical theater or symphonies.
