A Space Apart

A Space Apart is a single room beside the Interfaith Chaplains' office. In the back half of the small white farmhouse at 23 Brighton Ave, it offers a quiet and relatively private place for prayer, meditation, or other similar activities. The space may be reserved for group activities by emailing interfaith@usm.maine.edu or calling 228-8093. Anyone wishing to use the space may also feel free to simply drop in. Cushions, table space, and a few chairs and prayer rugs are available for use; the floor has been marked to indicate which direction is East. Providing safe, private space for spiritual and religious activities is one of the simplest but most vital forms of support USM offers its students.
