Sample Study Plans You've just completed your first residency at Stonecoast and been happily informed which mentor will be shepherding you through your first semester of the MFA Program. Before leaving the residency in Maine, one of the first things you'll do to get the semester underway is develop a study plan for the semester. Through a dialogue with your mentor, the two of you will arrive at a study plan that is tailored to your needs as a student while working within the Stonecoast Academic Guidelines. These study plans aren't set in stone; the development of the writer is an evolutionary process with many unpredictable turns. It is good, however, to have a plan and structure laid out with some goals for the semester, so that you and your mentor are working on the same page, so to speak. Here are some sample study plans students have submitted in prior semesters. Find your respective genre, and feel free to take a gander.
