
Peter Behrens, Novel
Peter’s first novel, The Law of Dreams, won the prestigious Governor General’s Literary Award and has been nominated for the International Impac Literature Prize. Peter is a former Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford. Night Driving, a collection of stories, was published in 1987.

Dianne Benedict, Short Fiction
Author of Shiny Objects, winner of the Iowa Short Fiction Award, Dianne is a professor at the University of Southern Maine. She has received fellowships from the National Endowment For the Arts and the Maine Arts Commission. Her stories have appeared in The Atlantic Monthly and Best American Short Stories.
Maria Flook, Non-fiction/Memoir
Maria is the author of the best-seller Invisible Eden, a literary investigation in the Christina Worthington murder, and the memoir My Sister Life. She has also published two collections of poetry and three novels, Lux, Open Water and Family Night, and a collection of stories, You Have the Wrong Man. Maria is Writer-in-Residence at Emerson College.

Major Jackson, Poetry
Major is the author of two collections of poetry. His first book, Leaving Saturn, won the Cave Canen Poetry Prize and was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle. His poems have appeared in the American Poetry Review, Boulevard, Callaloo, Triquarterly, The New Yorker, among other literary journals and anthologies. He is a recipient of a Whiting Writers’ Award and a fellowship at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University. His most recent book is Hoops.

Justin Tussing, Director
Justin is the author of the novel The Best People in the World. A member of the faculty at the University of Southern Maine, Justin is a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Previously he has held administrative positions at the Iowa Summer Writing Festival, The Iowa Young Writers Studio, and the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. He is currently at work on his second novel.
