Scholarship Recipients

Department of Exercise, Health, and Sport Sciences Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to two students each year who demonstrate excellence within their chosen major.  Students are evaluated in areas such as academic performance, professional goals, service to the University and Department of Exercise, Health and Sport Sciences, and research interests.

Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield Health Professions Scholarships
These scholarships are made possible through the generosity of Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Maine.  They are awarded to students who have demonstrated superior academic achievement, financial needs, have made a commitment to full-time study in the academic year of scholarship, and have made a commitment to working in Maine to meet local health care needs.

Jesse Michael Garbacik Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a student that demonstrates excellence in the major of Exercise Physiology.  Students are evaluated in the areas of academic performance, personal and professional goals, research and service to the Department of Exercise, Health, and Sport Sciences.  It is the hope that the recipient will continue their educational pursuits at the graduate level.
