Race, Class, and Gender

Text Box: This year saw the development of a new service-learning course taught by Professor Hsin-yi Lu. Every student, along with their readings, was required to do a minimum of 15 hours of service and keep journals of their experiences. At the end of the course each student created some alternate method for presenting their experiences, and several of the posters are shown on this page.

Some of the places where projects were completed are FaithWorks in Lewiston, Civil Rights at Sabattus Elementary School, ESL with Spanish speakers in Lewiston, and Brigance Testing with preschoolers at Sandcastle Daycare Center.
