Food For Thought April

Charles Plummer, widely known for his living history presentations which
include some of the more famous Civil War generals , will be the featured
speaker at the April 12 Food For Thought program at L.A. Senior College.
Appearing as Gen. Ulysses S. Grant, he will share highlights of the life and
experiences of this famous and colorful Union general beginning with his
birth on April 27, 1822 and culminating with the surrender of Gen. Robert E.
Lee's Army. Grant played a major role in defeating Gen. Lee's Army of
Northern Virginia which brought the Civil War to an end with the surrender
of that army on April 9, 1865 at Appomattox, Virginia.
