Professor Beaudry featured in interview on visual literacy

Dr. Jeffrey Beaudry, an associate professor in the Department of Professional Education, was featured in a recently published interview with IGI Global, in which he discusses concept mapping, “graphicacy,” and other ideas in visual literacy.
Dr. Beaudry helped organize and presented at the International Visual Literacy Association 2012 Annual Conference, held October 10-13, in Portland, Maine. He is also co-editor with USM professor Leonard Shedletsky of the upcoming publication Cases on Teaching Critical Thinking through Visual Representation Strategies, an edited volume of classroom tested uses of mapping with regard to critical thinking and writing.
