Into the Mud Challenge

It's back! Get ready to join the University of Southern Maine Sport Management Program on Sunday, April 28, for the third annual Into the Mud Challenge!

The Into the Mud Challenge gives Mainers the opportunity to participate in one of the most unique race settings in the state. The race features 2.5 miles of mud pits and a series of challenging obstacles to conquer with an emphasis on getting muddy and having fun. The annual event draws hundreds of participants of all ages and abilities from across the region.

This year the event will include an individual division, a team division, and Oakie’s Muddy Dash-a one-mile race for children ages 5-12, as well as individual and team costume contests.

Proceeds from the student-run event directly support the USM Sport Management Scholarship fund.

The 2013 Into the Mud Challenge is sponsored by Oakhurt, Sebago Brewing Company, and Gorham Parks and Recreation.

Sebago Brewing Company will be on-site selling food and beverages from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm.
