PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

 

With experience as an account and investment officer at Citicorp headquarters and at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Professor Purdy presently serves as a senior associate with Marketing Services Associates. He was formerly the state director of the SBDC and the president of the National Association of SBDCs. Professor Purdy has consulted on behalf of a number of private firms and government agencies, such as Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, Down East Enterprises, USAID, the World Bank, Lotus Development Corporation, and IBM. Professor Purdy has delivered numerous presentations before industry groups and has provided expert testimony to both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives Committees on Small Business. Professor Purdy has written three books on business planning, two published by Inc. Magazine and one by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
