PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

 

Before beginning graduate study, Professor Phillips attained ten years of computer experience in the public and private sector as a programmer, analyst, project leader, and programming supervisor. This work included international experience in Iran and Venezuela for Mobil Oil and Gulf Oil. Since coming to USM, Professor Phillips has published scholarly work in the Journal of Economic Education, the American Economist, and Computers and Education. He is presently in the process of publishing an electronic version of an economics textbook and its accompanying tutorial workbook. Dr. Phillips has also presented papers on computerized pedagogy in economics at the Eastern Economics Association, the Atlantic Economic Society, the National Convention of the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business, and the Carnegie-Mellon Graduate School of Industrial Administration.
