Commencement

Almost Ready to Graduate?

The University of Southern Maine has one Commencement Ceremony a year which is held in May. Anyone who has applied for graduation or graduated since the last ceremony will be sent information about Commencement. See the Academic Calendar for Commencement date.

After your last semester has been completed your appropriate Dean or Department will certify that you have completed all requirements and notify the Registrar's Office.  Diplomas will be produced and mailed at that time. 

You must let the Registrar's Office know you are ready to graduate.

This is done by processing an application for degree.

Please log into MaineStreet, Choose:

Student Self Service, then Student Center.
other academic, apply for graduation, and 
follow the prompts.

Or

Print and complete an Application for Degree. This form may also be faxed to Gorham Registrar's Office at 207-780-5517.
