The University offers three single-semester installment payment plans. Students may enroll in the four or five-payment plan through August 15, 2008. The enrollment period for the three-payment plan ends on October 3 , 2008 (students with a bill due on August 15, 2008 will be assessed a $50.00 late payment fee unless they enroll in the three-payment plan by August 15, 2008). The enrollment fee is $30.00 for all payment plans.
Students enrolling in the five-payment plan must make a down payment of at least 20% of the balance due. The subsequent payments are due by the 15th of each month, September 15, October 15, November 15 and December 15.
Students enrolling in the four-payment plan must make a down payment of at least 25% of the balance due. The subsequent payments are due by the 15th of each month, September 15, October 15 and November 15.
Students enrolling in the three-payment plan must make a down payment of at least 33% of the balance due. The subsequent payments are due by the 15th of each month, October 15 and November 15.
Payment reminders will be sent via e-mail to the student’s official University e-mail address before the 5th of the month due dates in Fall 2008. Paper bills will not be mailed to students enrolled in payment plans. Payment plan coupons are available at www.usm.maine.edu/buso.
If a payment plan payment is not received by the due date, the University will assess a $50.00 late payment fee. A maximum of $200.00 may be charged. Students who do not make timely payment may be prohibited form using the payment plan.
