How do I get a copy of the official USM logo?

For print use/for Web use

For print use:

The gif files provided at this site are not suited for printed reproduction. Please download a logo for print purposes from the choices below. When printing the logo in color, please refer to the University Colors section of the USM Identity and Style Guide.

PC Users:
Download (horizontal and vertical) color USM logos in TIF and EPS formats
Download (horizontal and vertical) black-and-white USM logos in TIF and EPS formats

• After clicking on one of the download links above, a "File Download" window appears (if this window does not appear, proceed to the next step). Choose "Save this program to disk" and click on OK.
• A "Save As" window appears. Choose the location to save the file to by clicking on the downward arrow immediately to the right of the drop-down box at the top of the window.
• Choose a location where you can easily find the file afterwards, such as the Desktop, and click on "Save" at the bottom of the window (a "Download complete" window may appear at this stage - click on "Close").
• After downloading the file, go to the location where you saved it to and double click on the filename.
• A "WinZip Self-Extractor" window appears. Click on Browse and choose a location where you can easily locate the unzipped files afterwards (a folder created specifically for these files might avoid confusion later).
• Click on "OK", then "Unzip".
• Click on "OK", then "Close" to exit the pop-up window, and go to the place where you unzipped the files to.

Mac Users:

• Once you have clicked to download the link above, a folder named logos_color or logos_bw will appear on your desktop.
• Double click on the folder icon and you will see four color logos (TIF and EPS files in both horizontal and vertical formats) in the folder.

For Web use:

For use on USM Web pages, we are providing the screened and colored logos in four sizes. Please note that these gifs are not of appropriate quality for print reproduction.

Please note, if these sizes do not fit your purposes, please contact the Office of Marketing and Brand Management at 780-4094 and we will make one whatever size you may need.

To save any of these gif files:

PC users right click on the image and save.

Mac users move your cursor over the image you would like to copy, press down and hold your mouse over the image, then select "save this image" and save it to your desktop, to a disk, etc.

When using an electronic copy of this logo, please be careful not to skew the proportions.
